Training & Education

  • ​Graduated from Chapman University with a master's degree in psychology, emphasis in marriage, family, and child counseling.​

  • Experience includes providing psychotherapy in inpatient psychiatric settings, skilled nursing facilities, and providing play therapy for the Irvine School District.  Additionally, I have been providing psychotherapy in a private practice setting since 1999. 

  • Attended the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), an in-depth intensive training, through the International OCD Foundation. This training focuses on exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP), a form of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders.

  • Attended the Professional Training Institute (PTI), a professional training for the treatment of body focused repetitive behaviors, through the TLC Foundation. Body focused repetitive behaviors are repetitive actions focused on one's body, such as hair-pulling (trichotillomania), skin-picking (Excoriation Disorder), nail biting, and related behaviors. This training focuses on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), ComB, for the treatment of body focused repetitive behaviors. â€‹
